SOMA Benefit Report 2025
A Message from our Founder and Managing Director
At SOMA, doing business for good isn’t just our foundation, it’s the catalyst for every strategy we build and every partnership we cultivate.
When I founded SOMA Public Relations, I believed communications could be a force for good. Today, that belief remains at the heart of everything we do.
2025 was a year of growth, momentum, and impact. As a proudly B Corp Certified agency, we continued to partner with organizations that are tackling some of society’s most important challenges, from advancing recycling and the circular economy, to supporting climate innovation, health and wellness, and technology that improves lives.
Throughout the year, our team helped purpose-driven organizations tell stories that mattered. We worked alongside clients that are reducing waste, investing in climate solutions, strengthening communities, improving healthcare, and building a more sustainable future. Together, we generated meaningful conversations, elevated important issues, and helped bring greater visibility to organizations creating positive change.
This year also marked important milestones for SOMA. We expanded our team, strengthened our internal operations, deepened our commitment to employee well-being and professional development, and continued to integrate sustainability and accountability into how we operate. We were honoured to receive recognition from the Canadian Public Relations Society Vancouver, reinforcing the value of strategic communications in advancing purpose-driven initiatives.
At SOMA, we believe that communications is about more than media coverage. It is about building trust, shaping conversations, influencing action, and helping organizations achieve meaningful outcomes. Whether supporting a clean technology company bringing innovative solutions to market, a stewardship organization advancing environmental responsibility, or a healthcare organization improving lives, we are proud to play a role in helping good ideas gain traction and create impact.
This Benefit Report reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, continuous improvement, and responsible business practices. It highlights the progress we have made, the lessons we have learned, and the opportunities ahead as we continue to grow our impact.
Thank you to our clients, partners, suppliers, and team members who share our vision of a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future. We are proud of what we have accomplished together and excited for what lies ahead.

Sustainability Assessment
At SOMA, sustainability is not a standalone initiative, it is integrated into how we operate, who we partner with, and the impact we strive to create. As a B Corp Certified public relations agency, we use the B Impact Assessment (BIA) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as practical frameworks to guide our decision-making, measure progress, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Throughout 2025, we continued to strengthen our role as a communications partner to organizations advancing environmental sustainability, health and wellness, climate innovation, circular economy solutions, and technology for good. These sectors reflect both our values and our belief that strategic communications can help accelerate positive change.
The B Impact Assessment helps us evaluate our performance across key areas of governance, workers, community, environment, and clients, ensuring accountability and transparency remain embedded throughout our operations. At the same time, the UN SDGs provide a broader lens through which we assess our contribution to global challenges and opportunities.
Together, these frameworks help us align our business objectives, team development, stakeholder priorities, and client work with measurable impact. They challenge us to think beyond traditional business success and consider how our decisions influence people, communities, and the environment.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to responsible business practices, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and supporting organizations that are building a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient future. Through strategic storytelling, thought leadership, and purpose-driven communications, we aim to amplify solutions that make a lasting difference.
